What is Battery Regeneration?
Over time, batteries lose their rated capacity due to various degradation phenomena, caused by:
- Incomplete charge/discharge cycles
- High temperatures affecting battery efficiency
- Excessive sulfuric acid concentration in lead/acid batteries
The goal is simple: to give your batteries a second life, reduce waste, and minimise costs—all while maintaining optimal energy efficiency.
Why Regenerate Lead-Acid Batteries?
At ABEC REGEN, we offer a more sustainable, cost-effective alternative to battery replacement. By choosing to regenerate your lead-acid batteries instead of disposing (to landfill or recycling plant) your dead/end-of-life batteries and buying new replacements, you contribute to a cleaner environment and a more circular economy — with the additional benefit of continued performance from the regenerated battery.
The Benefits of Regenerating Batteries
How is Battery Regeneration Done?
Our advanced regeneration process is patented and more effective than alternatives in the market. The old battery is subject to a specific cycle of high current (400A) electric pulses to breakdown the sulphate crystals that have been deeply embedded on the lead plates, thereby dissolving the sulphate back into the electrolyte solution, restoring the chemical balance to the battery to 95% of its original state.
The Path to Regeneration
In this video, we introduce BeEnergy—the European innovators behind our regeneration technology—and explore how battery regeneration is helping decarbonize industries while creating real benefits for our planet.
